Prescription motorcycle sun glasses are just as easy to obtain as standard sunglasses.  Whether you prefer deco styles, or vintage, photochromic or classic sunglasses, there are many, many styles to choose from online.  The Internet is probably the easiest way to shop, and all you need is the perscription of your glasses and your imagination. Prescription motorcycle sun glasses should be fun and upbeat, or if you prefer, designs from the 40’s and they should be comfortable for the ride.

There are a few things to consider when you purchase your prescription motorcycle sun glasses.  The rays from the sky come through the atmosphere in three forms: UVA, UVB, and UVC.  UVC rays are totally absorbed before they reach the Earth so they pose no major concern. But when you buy protective eyewear for riding your bike, the other two types of rays, UVA and UVB, need to be blocked 98% to be effective.  According to the Sunglasses Association of America you need to reduce the sun’s brightness to compare to standing under a tree, in the shade.

Whether you choose polarized, photo chromic glasses or goggles - all are available.  As long as you adhere to blocking the UVB 98%, it’s up to you to choose the style and color that you like the best.  Remember that your eyes may change with age, so have your eyes examined at least every two years.  Other than these few guidelines, your ride and your protective glasses are up to you and your sense of style
