Polarized Sun Glasses

Polarized sun glasses are becoming more and more popular for both the sports enthusiast and even the commuter motorists.  These specially tinted lenses offer maximum protection from the “glare” that radiates off the surface of water, or snow or off the pavement. The glare that reflects off the water is just as bright as the shining sky.  For this reason, the fishermen and sailing community has been using this type of  eyewear for years, along with many other sports-centered people.  For most outdoor sports and activities, these glasses offer great advantages.  Mirrored sunglasses were among the first styles of polarized sun glasses, and because we now recognize the benefits of these lenses to reduce the glare, they are available in every styles and colors.

The polarization process is not difficult to understand. When sunlight reflects from water, asphalt, or other non-metallic surfaces, it becomes a polarization effect. That is, the reflected light is vibrating more in one direction than in any other. Polarized sunglasses reduce this reflection if the lenses are oriented properly and offer better protection for your eyes.

This eyewear is available in sports glasses, driver’s frames, golf glasses, clip-ons and even photochromic lenses.  Photochromic lenses adjust to the amount of light available, so they are great for changing light conditions.  These sunglasses can be found in designer styles, discount glasses, with frames or without.  The polarization process is available in virtually every style, so look for it when shopping on the Internet for your eyewear!
